You have to dig through there to find really good ones. The recent ones have all been lacking. It's good for really nice high quality wallpapers and widescreen resolutions.

Note about Safebooru: The website uses tags to find pictures, if you aren't specific, you won't find anything. You can search for 2 tags at once, and multiple words in one tag should use underscores. (EX: kazami_yuuka remilia_scarlet) Another note is that Safebooru generally hosts anime and game wallpapers, but majorly anime.

To be honest with you, I've had my success finding wallpapers using google images alone, best part it even has a area where you can specify the image dimensions you're looking for.

In this example below, it will search for 'High resolution Wallpapers' with the resolution of 1920x1080

http://www.google.com/images?q=high+resolution+wallpapers&um=1&hl=en&biw=2112&bih=945&tbs=isch:1,isz:ex,iszw:1920,iszh:1080&source=lnt&prmdo=1

You can alter the above link, just change the 1920 1080 portion to your screen size.
